Welcome! I’m glad you’re here! Thanks for stopping by to learn a little more about me.
A Little About Me…
I’ve always been an avid reader and a writer. When I was a teenager, I would always be in the middle of reading at least five books. Not only could I keep up with each story line, but I also never needed a bookmark! These days, I’m lucky to remember what I went for into the kitchen.
There’s more to me than writing and reading. I’m the mom of two wonderful and adorable boys that I educate from home. I enjoy making jewelry and being active outside. I also enjoy watching shows that are similar to what I write: Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, Lost Girl, Once Upon a Time, Vampire Diaries, and more.
I’m a thyroid cancer survivor. I’ve been cancer free since 2008. Get your thyroid checked!
If you want to get to know me even more, follow me on Pinterest. (Check the sidebar.) The boards are a real form of self expression for me. You’ll see what I love, what inspires me, what I find humorous, and so much more.
My Writing: The Early Years…
I’ve been writing stories ever since I could write out enough to make a story. I can remember writing my first chapter story at about the age of nine. I kept spiral bound notebooks, writing story after story.
My earliest series was the “Jake ‘N Joe” series, which I still have on the original construction paper. Jake and Joe were my cousins, often getting into mischief. They gave me an endless supply of story ideas. I would read the stories at family gatherings and the adults would roar with laughter.
I was a senior in high school before my first story was typed on a computer. That was when my mom got her second computer and I inherited her super cool green-screen computer that weighed almost as much as my car!
When I was in college, I didn’t have a lot of time for writing. I enjoyed writing so I made time to write small pieces at a time. I would write a chapter and then email it to friends. They always enjoyed them and they didn’t want to wait for the next installment.
My Writing: Present & Future…
Life got in the way after college and I stopped writing. Years later, I felt like something was missing, and I finally figured out that I wanted to write and publish novels.
I began writing my first published novel, Deception, right away. Ever since that day, I’ve spent a lot of time learning everything I could about being an author.
On February 13, 2015 I became a full-time author! It’s a real dream come true. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me every step of the way.
