I hit 16,493 words in my novel today on day three of Camp NaNoWriMo. It’s the first day I’ve fallen behind (and hopefully last one!) so that means I’ll probably have to write tomorrow. Saturdays are usually my day off each week…but not this week.
Not my best day, but I can’t really complain about a 4k day, either. This week I had a bunch of nights where I didn’t get enough sleep and it caught up with me this morning. It was hard to focus and get the words out. Even with coffee and good music.
I’d hoped to get the last 2k words done this afternoon, but that didn’t happen, either. There are always setbacks along the way, so I’m not going to let this get me down. Just glad to get a bad day out of the way.
Onward!
Oh…and if you’re paying close attention to my word counts, you might notice a 1-word discrepancy. Yesterday, after posting, I ran spell check and ended up with an extra word. I had mistyped two words into one, giving me an extra one for yesterday.
