After writing 5,175 words today, I passed my goal of 150,000 fiction words this month! My final word count is 150,408.
This month I wrote:
The eighth book in my Transformed series:
Then I wrote the third book in my Seaside Hunters series & and started a new one that same day:
I didn’t finish the last one (see the first word count screenshot near the top of this post) but I got a good start at 16,561 words into it. I have a temporary goal of it being 40k, but I’m not really sure. At first, it was going to be a novella (Saved by a Vampire, a side story from my Transformed series), but it seems to want to be a novel. Who am I to argue?
Well, that’s all I have for you today. I’m going to post a recap, sharing some of what I’ve learned along the way. That should be either tomorrow or the next day.
Congratulations! I have bene watching your progress all month and I am staggered – and extremely impressed – with your progress 😀
Thank you, Rachel! It definitely wasn’t easy, and I knew that going in. 🙂 Now it’s time to dig into those second drafts!
Congratulations!
You know, if you could keep it up, you could pass James Patterson in a few years. 🙂
Thank you! …and I’m not sure about that. But I’ll keep doing my best!
Nicely done! Finished my 100,000 challenge at 102,915 words. I <3 Nano!
Thank you! And congratulations to you, too. 100k in a month is very impressive. 🙂 This was my first month breaking it.
Stacy you are an amazing inspiration! Great job!
Thank you, Irene! You did great, too. 🙂
Congratulations! I hope you are doing something great to celebrate! That is an amazing amount of work. Do you know how many words you usually write in a month? (I went through the older posts but I might have missed it.)
Thank you, Faith! I’m take a few days off writin to “celebrate” 🙂 The sleeping in is my favorite part since I usually wake up at 4am six days a week.
I don’t really have an average word count right now. I went full-time mid-February, and before that, I was writing about 30k a month. The month I went full-time (half part-time and half full) I got 55k and then my first completely FT month was 94k.
Congratulations! stacy . extremely impressed with your progress. keep writing.
