This is the third and final installment of the Meet Your Match series, and I was sucked in immediately from the first one and have enjoyed all of them a lot!
To be honest, Sam (the female lead of this book) was one I had a hard time connecting with in the other books, though she’s always been likable. I wasn’t sure how this book would be compared to the others, especially since she’s a lot younger than the other couples in the series, but she really won me over. She’s adorable, funny, and spunky.
Sam is a real go-getter who’s back home after graduating college. She’s waiting over the summer for her new job to start, and in the meantime is playing chauffeur for one of her favorite neighborhood kids. Kajsa is spending her mornings on a ranch, and Sam expects it to boring with a capital B. That is, until she meets Colton.
He’s cowboy through and through. I wasn’t too sure about him at first, either. I’m not sure what it was—maybe that he was a stick in the mud! But it didn’t take long for his humor and kind heartedness to win me over. It was fun to read Sam and Colton’s bantering and getting to know each other.
This whole series gets a thumbs up. I highly recommend it.

Stick in the Mud Meets Spontaneity (Meet Your Match #3) by Rachael Anderson
Home from college for the summer, Samantha Kinsey steps into her role as nanny for her two favorite little charges. But when she finds herself playing chauffeur more than playmate, her summer outlook quickly turns from fun to bleak. That is, until she drives the girls to a family-owned ranch and meets Colten McCoy—a genuine, hard-working cowboy, who’s as set in his ways as he is handsome. Although he claims he doesn’t need any fun in his life, Sam’s determined to help him find it. But she’ll soon discover that cowboys are about as easy to train as wild mustangs.
Stick in the Mud Meets Spontaneity is about an adaptable girl and a not so adaptable guy. It’s about learning to accept people for who they are and realizing that sometimes who they are is exactly who they should be.
