I’m up to 89,137 fiction words for the month after getting 3,183 words this morning. I’m happy to still be on target despite dealing with a cold or allergies. Sneezing my way through a writing session is never fun…or super productive.
I didn’t get to outlining yesterday like I wanted to do. It’s been a rare sunny, warm April weekend around here so I spent most of yesterday outside with the family. But even though I didn’t get much outlining done, I do have a much better idea where the story is going. Good thing since I’m almost 16k into it!
At least the entire draft isn’t going to need tons of work. With any luck, I’ll be able to iron out the issues in the first 15k during the first revision.
I did finish the latest draft of the book preceding the one I’m writing and got it sent off to beta readers. (Seaside Heartbeats. It’s easily one of my favorite books so far. We’ll see if the beta readers agree with me!)
I was super excited about the series since before I even published the first one and I made all the covers early. It does make envisioning the characters easier!
