Tempers aren’t the only thing that explode in Delphic Cove.
As soon as we first meet Alexis in the first pages of Deception, things are exploding around her. She doesn’t realize it at first, but things only explode when she’s angry.
With a trail of broken glass following her, she eventually has to admit – to herself, at least – that the explosions have something to do with her. It sounds too crazy to say it out loud, but with each new explosion, it becomes clearer that she’s somehow the cause of it.
She’s so convinced that she even goes as far as trying to make things explode on purpose. It’s a lot easier to make things blow up when she’s not trying.
With as frustrating as not being able to control her power, it’s even more aggravating not to understand what it means. Eventually, Alexis will figure it out, but as soon as she would like.

Why is it that it’s always easier to do things when you’re not trying? The trick is working out what you’re doing when you’re not trying 😉

Isn’t that always the case? And yes – that’s the trick, but it’s even harder when you’re mad, because you can’t think straight!
When I was younger, I used to get angry all the time. Thank God I didn’t have the power to make things explode! (Very unique concept!)
I’m glad that’s not an ability of mine too! 🙂 Especially when I used to commute to work!
Hi Stacy,
Nice to be here today.
OM…Great Explosion Here 🙂
A timely subject to think on
seriously. 🙂
Have a Happy Weekend

Nice to meet you, Philip! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
It’s a good thing I don’t have this power, things might have been a little problematic for my neighbors this morning…
Uh-oh! 🙂
Sounds like an exciting read. Adding it to my list. 🙂
Thanks, Maer! I hope you enjoy it! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Wouldn’t that be a great power to have? Upset me and you windows are smashed! I suppose it’d all depend on control, though.
It could definitely come in handy! 🙂
Sorry I’m late to comment – yesterday I was visiting the in-laws.
I love stories where weird things happen around the protagonist and they have to figure them out – explosions sound very exciting.

Weekends are like that! I’ve been under the weather, so I haven’t made it to as many blogs myself.
It’s bad enough to have anger you can’t control, but when it causes things to explode around you, that would be REALLY bad!
It’s definitely not a superpower I would want if I couldn’t control it!
