There’s nothing like holding your book in your hands!

A couple days ago, I had the privilege of unboxing and holding the paperback versions of my Gone Trilogy.

There’s nothing like the experience of holding your book! It’s so different from looking at the cover online. It’s a picture-worthy experience:

I worked really hard on the books (like I do for all my works!) but this time was different. Not only was a jump from my typical Paranormal Romances, but it was a trilogy. I clear beginning, middle, and end.

My Transformed series has no end in sight. When I was writing the first book, I had no idea what was coming in book three – much less book seven, the one I’m working on now.

When I wrote the Gone, I had to know how Over would end. No question.

Because of the nature of the trilogy, I wanted the paperback to contain all three books. All of them (Gone, Held, and Over) are all in the neighborhood of 70k words. That means that the trilogy is huge. It’s 650 pages long. Look at how thick it is:

Gone Trilogy by Stacy ClaflinIf you look at it in comparison to the pencil, you’ll see that it could be a doorstop.  But it’s my doorstop…I mean book!

So far, it’s available on Amazon…soon to show up at other online retailers.

About Gone…

Macy Mercer only wants a little independence. Eager to prove herself grown up, she goes to a dark, secluded park. She’s supposed to meet the boy of her dreams who she met online. But the cute fifteen year old was a fantasy, his pictures fake. She finds herself face to face with Chester Woodran, a man capable of murder.

Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He withholds food, locks Macy up, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Under duress from his constant threats and mind games, her hold on reality starts to slip. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester’s daughter.

  1. Congratulations on holding tangible evidence of all your hard work!

I just started reading Deception. It’s not normally a book I’d read, genre-wise, but your blog was so intriguing I had to give it a go– I’m looking forward to exploring the world you’ve created. I’m an author not as far along the trail as you. Do you have any suggestions on building online readership?

I’ve been reading chapters podcast-style but I’m not sure if it that’s the type of thing that will stir curiosity. Would you mind taking a listen and telling me what you think? ( Here’s an example: http://www.themarleychronicles.com/urban-fantasy-podcast-episode-1/)

When I get to the end of Deception…. I’ll drop a line. I have a feeling it’s going to be hard to put down.
