Blessed and Betrayed – Review

Blessed and Betrayed is the story of Victoria, who is at a turning point in her life as she is looking for more while at the same time discovering that things from her past may not be what she thought all along. As she tries to make sense of her past, her childhood nanny begins speaking to her through her dreams, pointing her in directions that leave her more confused than before. Victoria finds that within each betrayal hides the gem of  a blessing.

I was drawn into the story almost immediately and I enjoyed the writing style. I read the entire book in a few short sessions because I didn’t want to put it down. I continually wanted to know what was going to happen next and I wanted to find out the answers to the big questions in the story. I enjoyed the characters, feeling like I was hanging out with my own friends and family.

The story is told in multiple points of view. I found some of the switches of point of view to be abrupt at times, causing me to backtrack and reread certain parts.

It’s a story about hope and the journey of life. Challenging situations arise and if we really try to work through them, we can find the the silver lining. Victoria finds both blessings and betrayals through this heartwarming story that is full of mystery, suspense, and growth.
