Day Twenty Three: 150k in a Month #NaNoWriMo #My150NaNo

I’m up to 115,160 fiction words for the month. That means another almost 35,000 words to go. Have I mentioned that I’ll be glad when May 1st rolls around?

I’ve learned a lot through this month and look forward to writing a post reflecting back.

A few tidbits for now:

  • 3-4k is really my sweet spot for a day’s writing.
  • Those last 2k are like pulling teeth if I haven’t properly prepared (ie: this whole book that I’m on!!)
  • Taking breaks and having fun is important.
  • Saying you’ve written a lot is far more glamorous than actually writing a lot! There are times the procrastination bug hits. (Hence watching things like this when I should be writing.)
  • Exercise is important, even if it’s something as simple as walking through the neighborhood or playing tag with the kids.

That’s it for now. Onward!

how do you manage you time with such intense day work, i mean writing 3-4k words is not a easy task as if you have to think every perspective. and yes one should take breaks to fresh their mind, nice post and i m sure you will suceed.
