  3. Mai Tran says:

My favorite part of Halloween is watching people trying their best to be someone (or something) they’re not.

  4. Tattoogirl says:

    Horror Movies and books

    1. Gotta love the horror books and movies! This is the best time of year for that. 🙂

  5. Staci Troilo says:

Halloween really isn’t too high on my list of favorite holidays. I always hated dressing in something weird my mom cobbled together and going door-to-door begging for food. As a mom, I tried to embrace the holiday for my kids. My favorite part was carving the pumpkins. I’ve done some pretty elaborate ones over the years. Lately, because the kids are older, I haven’t done any carving. Maybe I’ll get back to it this year. (Complete with a horror movie on TV and a glass of apple cider. There are rules for carving, you know. 😉 )

    1. I can relate to that, Staci. I’ve gotten into Halloween more since having kids. They love getting dressed up and collecting candy. It’s fun to experience it through their eyes. 🙂

A horror movie and apple cider sounds wonderful!

  6. Joseph Hawkshaw says:

      1. Cheryl Rogers says:

I actually added pumpkin pie spice to my regular coffee last night, it was a warm up for the real thing.

        1. Can you buy the spice itself? My favorite pumpkin spice tea appears to have been discontinued. 🙁

          1. Cheryl Rogers says:

Yes you can buy it in the spice aisle , also your tea sounds awesome!

Halloween for me is Samhain as I’m a pagan. I always cook up a feast and my family and friends drop by throughout the 24 hours that are sacred to us

  15. Judy Cox says:

I enjoy giving out the treats to the little ones in their cute costumes and the smiles they give you when you are giving them their treats!!!

  16. April says:

My favorite part of halloween is the magic of stepping into being someone or something else. Its that ‘pretend ‘ game we play easily as children that is part of how we learn about so many things.

  17. Bobbi Kinion says:

What’s your favorite part of Halloween? Before we moved out into the country, it was handing out candy and seeing all of the little kids in all the different costumes and watching their little faces when they saw what was being put into their bag. Living out in the country I don’t get to see any of that anymore or hand out candy and my kids are 19 and 22 so they don’t do the knocking on doors anymore.

  18. Of course, there are many things: Including the hunt for used Halloween decorations (yard sales, thrift stores, sometimes curbside, and from friends and relatives that are going to get rid of things) we can refurbish or make ourselves, and then using them to decorate the house and yard. My other favorite thing would be dressing up in a homemade costume with my children, attending local horror conventions and attractions, and of course, going Trick or Treating with them! It is all about having a scary (but fun and safe!) good time with my Children!

  19. Sarah M says:

I like seeing the cute costumes on kids and the really clever ones adults come up with. I like punny costumes 🙂

  20. Mary Preston says:

I love the books that come out for Halloween.

  21. Bonnie Boucek says:

My fave part is the fact that there are too many. I love the costumes because I love how creative my children can be…really a kitterfly?! I also love the history in which the holiday is stewed.

  22. Stephanie Lashbrook says:

The best part is the candy corn and the decorating! 🙂

  23. sherry butcher says:

I love making and displaying home deco now, before it was dressing up.

  24. Toni Porter says:

I love almost everything about Halloween! If I had to narrow it down, though, I’d say that it was the dressing up and pretending to be something you’re not, carving pumpkins (trust me, mine get pretty elaborate), and Halloween crafting.

  25. bn100 says:
